There is a common theme in all of these photos. They were all shot with the same background. Check back in through the week because I'm going to show you how it is done.
Cheers,
Zack
Been a while since I got to meet you after the GA Strobist meet, but I wanted to drop you a note to let you know I’m enjoying following the blog, and specifically looking forward to seeing the tips behind the lighting on these shots.
Hope the new studio is working out well for you. Keep up the great work.
OK….how was the red background done – all in computer after the shoot? I have a roll of 9 foot seamless sitting around my garage & never use it! I’m hoping to be inspired!
Hi Kay,
I’ll be addressing that this week in further posts about shooting on white seamless. The fast answer is I put red gels on the background light but there are a few other things to do to get it right.
The white to sepia gradient in the photo above was done in post production but it is something that can be done in 30 seconds. NO masking needed.
Dang, that is sweet! I can’t wait to be enlightened. Still itchin to get back down to Atlanta and see your new digs.
Thanks Zack!
David
Just let me know when you’re back this way David!
Cheers,
Zack
That’s some killer stuff Zack. Looking forward to the updated ‘revival’
Coming to Washington this year?
