This is Gracie and she is anything but “gracie”.  She is a 5 month old Labradoodle that we took in a few months ago and have not let go of.

It took a lot of wrangling to get her to sit for this photo.

Cheers,

  1. Oh my goodness gracious. If missing you wasn’t bad enough, you had to go and make me MORE homesick.

  2. Gracie is beautiful!! I love the backdrop you chose for this shot!!

  3. Aw, how cute!

  4. Hmm…where have I seen this backdrop before, on DVD #2 I was watching last night perhaps?

Cute dog…wouldn’t mind a labradoodle myself. Supposed to be easy on the allergies.

  5. Beautiful backdrop. Super cute dog.
Congratulations on getting her to sit still.

  6. great splash of color from the seat :)

  7. Outside of having a lovely photograph you have a beautiful dog. I’ve bred poodles for many years and I can tell you (biasedly, of course) that adding ‘oodle’ to anything makes it better!
    Yeah Gracie.

  8. Hi Zack, Cute dog and interesting to see how long their tails are (a lot of dogs in the UK still have their tails docked).

Just a quick note to say glad to see you’re posting again and it finally clicked a day or two ago and I can know make my white background any colour I want, including jet black thanks to your tutourials.

  9. aw… you have a sasquatch too! she’s a cutie. but i do have a soft spot for the scruffy ones.
    :-)

  10. Great pIcture! Where did you find that backdrop? I have been searching everywhere for something like that!

  11. Hi Chase,
Meg found that at a local fabric store. It is just a big piece of upholstery fabric.

    Cheers,
    Zack

  12. Thanks! I will keep up the search!

  13. Zack,

I just love this photo of Gracie! What a cutie, what a great shot! I recently had my dog Harry help me out with testing some lighting, so I know how much it takes for their cooperation. Here he is: http://rudiphoto.zenfolio.com/img/v1/p781815414.jpg

  14. She is beautiful.

  15. What a great little dog. We have a toy poodle cross italian greyhound… a poohound perhaps! Really lovely photography too.

  16. hahaha, my aunt has a labradoodle and talk about hyper!!! he is about 70 lbs now and 2 years old…just about to calm down…well they are praying for :D

as much of a mop that he is, they love him and bring him so much joy.

i hope this new addition brings you the same!
